Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports is a microcosm of life. Striving to be the best at what you do, is something sports can instill. Team work is essential in life, in sports, in the workplace and in the home. Learning to master collaboration and putting the team before yourself, is part of success. I believe the saying is "if you want fast, go alone, if you want to far, go together". Great teams will always go farther.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Leadership is has been important to me for years. In High School I am part of small leadership who helps solve for school issues, mentor students and tutor. Prior to high school, I was honored with the American Legion Award for Leadership, a distinguished award.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance means working hard, but also knowing you body and when to allow it to rest. As athletes, we just want to play, do well for our school and perform to our best. Following a regimen, sticking to the right mechanics allows the body to perform for the long-run.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am deeply involved in leadership within my school and church. I volunteer at organizations like For the Troops, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing members of the American military with “We Care” packages containing basic necessities, goodies, games and—most of all—a show of support. Since its inception in 2005, For The Troops sends 100,000 packages year-round to American troops who risk their lives overseas every day—far away from the comforts of home.
