Personal Highlights

My name is Madi Wagendorf. I will be a senior this fall 2020 at Park Christian School and am looking forward to getting back in the classroom and back on the volleyball court. I will be a 4 year starter at the Middle Hitter position when I return this fall. My goals for my Senior year are to lead the team to another 20+ win season and hit at an attack percentage of .380 or higher. My junior year, while playing at the Middle Hitter position and being a three-year starter, I helped lead our team to a 22-4 record, a Conference Championship and into the third round of the Sectionals, just falling short of our goal of a MN State appearance. I finished my junior year with 192 kills, an attack percentage of .333 and a serving percentage of .940. Over the course of the year, I broke the single match attack percentage school record when I put up a .750. For the second year in a row I was named to the All Conference - First Team. During my sophomore year, I set the school record of serving percentage at .965, hit at an attack percentage of .292 and was named to the All Conference - First Team.

I currently have seven years of club volleyball experience. Last winter 2019, I was fortunate to play with Summit Junior Volleyball Club. I played for the 18s Elite Team and was certainly not expecting our Spring season to be cut short due to COVID. I got to play with many dedicated and committed seniors as well as some juniors, and we were very successful with many wins and some well earned 1st place finishes. My sophomore year during JO I helped lead the PCS JO Club to many successful tournaments, including a championship at the Barnesville Classic. In 2018 as a sophomore, I was instrumental in leading our Summit Elite 15s team to a number of local and regional tournament championships and an appearance at the USAV National Tournament in Detroit in June 2018. Throughout that year, I played primarily in the middle, but was able to display my versatility by moving over to the right side from time to time.

All of my high school and club coaches have found me to be very coachable and believe I have many athletic and mental qualities that I can bring to a team. I'm a hard worker who shows leadership and team-making skills by giving my all to every point. I'm a good student and take academics and my Christian faith very seriously. You will ALWAYS find me with a positive, can-do attitude with an absolute goal of playing college volleyball.

At Park Christian School I continue to carry a cumulative GPA of 3.77. In addition to having success in the classrooms and on the volleyball court, I also have a passion for and participated in music, basketball and track and field, the latter of which I qualified as a freshman to compete with the best athletes in the State of MN Track and Field event with a qualifying high jump of 5'0'', and followed that up with a second place finish at State in my sophomore year with a jump of 5'3". Although I wasn’t able to compete my junior season because of the COVID pandemic, I am hopeful to improve my jump, and I am expecting to be significant in helping to lead our team to its 4th consecutive conference championship this upcoming year. I am also hoping to make a third trip to the MN State Track and Field Championships in high jump with a first place finish of 5'4" or better.
