I love soccer more than any sport and activity I do. Although I want to get into a college based off my academic achievements and desires, I cannot imagine not playing the sport and don’t want to give it up.
On the field for my Ambassadors FC club, even though there are no designated leaders, I had to step up during the 2018 State Cup games where we had 1-2 subs. Many of my teammates were tired so I encouraged them to keep working and I scored at least a goal per game helping the team to win the CASA league State cup title.
Off the field, in school, there was a super challenging team test in Honors Pre-Calculus and my team had a majority of quiet people who worked on their own, so I had to ask them questions in order to prompt their thinking and explain my ideas on how to solve the problems when they were stuck on it or skipping it. We got an A on that test thankfully.
I’m always stretching because I’m so scared of getting injuries and I am on Solon’s varsity track team in order to stay in shape since my club practices twice a week. Also, during the summer I work out almost everyday, whether it’s my technical skills or physical, in order to prepare myself for the high school season.
-I have volunteered at the Cleveland Clinic in the summer of 2018, volunteered as a book buddy for the past 3 summers, have been in Key Club since my freshman year, I am in the club “UNICEF”
- These efforts are important to me because instead of lying around the house all day, I enjoy getting up and being a productive human being and involving myself in activities that can make a difference. Volunteering not only makes me feel good about what i’m doing, but benefits others around me as well.
