I have run/organized several events at school such as Suicide Awareness basketball Tournament, Fleece and Thank you for Homeless Vets, as well as two events where we raised money for students who have lost a parent suddenly. I am a member of the Rochester/Auburn Hills Community Coalition, a non-profit organization to spread awareness and prevention of Alcohol, drugs, and mental health.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited because I love the game and the competition. I'm not ready to be done playing volleyball and I have worked hard and trained for the opportunity to play at the next level. I have prepared myself academically, physically, and athletically to be an asset to a collegiate team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Captain of club volleyball team, President of Cougar Athletic Leadership Council club.
I have demonstrated leadership by encouraging my peers to get involved and lead by example. I lead by pushing my peers to be their best each time they step on the court or in the classroom.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Healthy athletic performance means a good diet, enough sleep, stretching before competition, strength and conditioning training outside of volleyball practice, positive mental attitude and visualization strategies to calm nerves when under pressure. Good communication with team mates and coaches is expected.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have organized and participated in several voluntary activities that have raised money or donated supplies to different organizations. Suicide Awareness, Fleece and Thank You, Gleaners, Cougars Care (money for students who have lost a parent)
