Member of Peer Leadership @ PHS

Selected as Counselor In Training-Summer 2019 YMCA Camp Belknap, NH

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love competing and being proficient in my events in order to help the team. I also enjoy the friendships I create when I am part of a larger organization.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am attending YMCA Camp Belknap this summer as a first year counselor in training. I was chosen by the staff during my last year as a camper and I hope to climb the ranks and eventually have my own cabin as a full summer leader.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I refrain from all substances (alcohol, tobacco, drugs) and work to improve my nutrition and training performance by seeking off season guidance through personal training.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am part of the Portsmouth High School Student Leadership Committee. We perform service and support to our school as well as the community. One of our main initiatives is to work with at risk kids at the elementary schools introducing them to sports and games as well as to give them a positive role model.
