Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

No goal or dream is too big for me to accomplish. The expectations I set for myself on and off the field are extremely high. There was never any question on whether I would continue my education. That is my future. However, I truly believe I have the athleticism, dedication, desire and skill to successfully play as a goalkeeper at the college level today. Where there is an opportunity, I will succeed. I'm athletic, intelligent, funny, trustworthy, honest, loyal, dedicated, strategic, energetic, hard working, positive and engaged. I have all that and more to contribute as a goalkeeper and team player for your college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

My rec soccer team, club soccer team and high school soccer team all consist of a diverse group of players which I have found to be personally rewarding in the friendships that I have made. Being an inclusive, respectful and encouraging leader to our team on the field has created a strong bond that's built on a foundation of trust and support off the field as well. Who I am on the pitch is no different than who I am in the classroom. I lead by example in group class activities by being prepared, engaged and ready to strive for the best results. I encourage everyone to participate to the team's success.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Although it can be easy to make your passion a priority, it's essential to create a balance between sports and studies. I keep to a schedule and hold myself accountable for my performance on the field and my performance in the classroom. I organize my schedule daily that includes just enough flexibility to keep it realistic for the results I expect. I'm determined to succeed at both.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Keeping myself active within the community is very important to me. I especially enjoy working with other athletes of all ages, which is why I attended training classes to receive my WIAA baseball certification for umpiring, as well as my ASA softball certification for umpiring. I actively help with the Janesville Youth Baseball and Softball Association fundraisers, grounds maintenance and equipment management, as well as helping with the Rock Soccer Club organization. I am also faithfully involved with my church and will be receiving the sacrament of confirmation at St. John Vianney church the fall of 2018.
