DVHS Water Polo Honor Award 2016, 2017
I play for one of the consistently best Men's Water Polo clubs in the country. My primary position is wing. I'm a strategic player who assists with as many goals as I score. I'm great with turnovers and my strong swimming background allows me to quickly recover the ball allowing me to play both sides of the pool well.

I've been swimming since I was 5 years old and when I was introduced to water polo at 10, I was hooked. My teams have been traveling and participating in JOs every year and it's the most amazing sport. I'm still growing and getting stronger and am excited to take my skills to the next level.
I'm the top scorer on my High School Water Polo Team and was on Varsity as a Freshman. While water polo is the most popular in California, it's still a relatively small sport and is not well known at my high school. Many of the players on my team have been new to the sport and do not play for a year-round USA Water polo team so I explain the sport to them on the way to our games when our coach is not around. They are often too embarrassed to ask questions so they ask me.
I always try to get enough sleep and I do not drink alcohol, smoke or do drugs of any kind.
I volunteer for USA Water Polo and I also make meals for Shepherd's Gate, a shelter for women and children escaping domestic abuse.
