Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I can't imagine not being on a team and being able to swim. Swimming helps me in all areas of my life. Also, I really enjoy the team atmosphere and the close "family feeling" you get from being on a team.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I always try to set an example of great work ethic both in the pool and the classroom. I always encourage other swimmers who are having a rough practice. I have a 4.0 GPA. I hope other swimmers and students see through my actions that your school work is the most important.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I do dry land every day. I work hard both in the pool and in the dry land room. I always try to eat right and stay hydrated.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am active with my church and work with primary age students three days a week. I believe that your faith and giving back to the community is very important. I live in a rural area where literacy and poverty is a serious issue. Working through the church and with the students I work with weekly I am hopeful that I will make a difference.
