I had the opportunity that very few people at my age had. Which was learing three languages. I was born in a Mexican family that wanted to give my siblings and I the "American Dream". Thats how I know Spanish and English. However my parents and I decided that it would be a good idea that all three of us spoke a third language... French. At age eleven, I attended a boarding school in France where I learned not only french, but also their culture. Currently in High School, I am involved in the National Spanish Honors Society, I am an AP Ambassador, a Highlighted Highlander ( a prize/certificate my school gives out to students who were chosen from their teachers for being hard working and a good role model), I was nominated for Rotary Student of the Year, and I am also part of the National Society of High School Students.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

When I was little, I had no interest with sports. However when Rowing was brought up to me, I fell in love. This sport is unique in many ways. When people ask me what I do for fun, I say rowing. They end up being shocked by the response yet intrigued by it as well.
I want to row in college not only to do what I love, but to bring knowledge to more people about the sport. I think being a high standard athlete it will increase my leadership trait and help my community to open their eyes to this amazing activity.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
