I ran the 5:01 when i was injured during a base phase of practicing with an overuse injury (Stress Fracture). So i had to take a month off with cross training which affected my season. On the racing day i was supposed to peak, the wind was over 20 miles an hour and i had to fill in for someone in the 2 mile last minute, a day before the mile race. this gave me the same PR as the week before districts which was a 5:01.
I'm committed to knowing everything i possibly can about running and maxing out my limits by smart training. Academically I am in 3 UIL events such as ready writing, spelling, and all the journalism events.I would say more but i believe in actions over words.
Because I want to run competitively as much as possible and being aware of the process of becoming a great runner so I can teach it when I’m a coach one day.
I wouldn’t consider it leadership but the will power and trying to understand that the “process” of becoming someone is better than actually being the person you want.
By spending hours a day dedicated to learning more about running and how I can be better. Also maintaining a large calorie intake for 47 mile weeks during training phase.
I provide a donut service to my high school where I sell anywhere between 70 to 97 donuts a day. These efforts are important to me because I’m making the effort to best exploit my opportunities at the high school while not causing a distraction in class.
