Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to receive a Track & Field Scholarship to run at a competitive University. I love the sport of Track and Field and I want to study Medicine and work with athletes when I am done running track.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I run on a club team where my teammates are both younger and older than I am. I try to set a good example for them by the way I always train and compete hard. I also treat them well no matter what the situation is because they look up to me and voted me as a captain.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

My coaches and my dad always talk about how it is important to take care of your body, eat right, and get the right amount of rest. Doing these things as well as training off the track has enabled me to reach many of goals each season and set club and school records for my teams.

My parents also talk to me about the importance of being a great student and taking the time to prepare in the classroom the same way I do on the track.

My dad has always told me that when track season is over we need to get away from it and play other sports and develop as a total athlete. I have learned to really enjoy basketball and volleyball. I have also played 5 years of flag football.
Being able to do other things outside of track, being a good student and participating in other sport has been fun. Each year when it is track season I am always very excited because I have missed it while doing other things.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I participate in activities at my church which benefit the community. I take part in a production my church puts on every year called "Follow the Star" and over 10,000 people come to see each year. I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society and we have community activities where we interact with with the community. I also participate in Fabric of Faith where we make blankets and pillows for people in the community that are in need so we can show them that we care.
