Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to challenge myself. I want to see how far I can reach as a player. I want to play with great players to become a great player. In our area, we have a lot of interest in volleyball, but not a lot of individual attention to volleyball. When I graduate, I would like to pass on my knowledge to help other players, either private lessons, coaching or assisting in camps.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I like to show my leadership by being a support to fellow students and/or teammates. On the court, I like to encourage teammates on both ends who are having a great game or even when they are having an off game. I encourage good passes or hits or even when someone assists me in sets. I like to pump them up in everything they do. Most of all, I like to show my leadership by leading by example. What I mean by that is hustling after every ball to try to make a play. Constantly trying to improve in playing and/or setting goals per season.

Off the court, I like to show my leadership skills by being a genuine person. Staying friendly and open to all around me and trying to achieve good grades in class. My leadership skills also extend to extra-curricular activities as well as not involving myself in situations that can prove harmful.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I love volleyball. I love watching good volleyball. I strive to increase my performance by playing on a club team, being open to "fill in" as a setter in different age groups. I like to push myself and have found out I thrive when I play with better and faster players. I love the challenge of it. I like to work off season and after every season, see where I need to improve. For example, I want to improve my footwork (speed/agility) and vertical jump. My goal is to jump set next season as well as work on my right side hitting. I feel that if I increase my vertical, it will help me improve on blocking, setting and hitting.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Our school does missions work every year. Sometimes it is within our community to help with a crisis (such as disaster relief during the tornado's of 2019). Others it is service within our own town to help at Retirement Homes, Soup Kitchens, Town Wide Clean Up Services. This is our way to give back to a community that supports our schools. We are supposed to help those in need.
