Personal Highlights

Hello. my name is Ashley Durbin. I am currently a sophomore at South Oldham HighSchool. I've been playing volleyball since second grade, I also played 3 years at East Oldham Middle School . My team won the conference title twice and we were season champs 3 years in a row. All 3 years I earned the all tournament player award for the mid Bluegrass conference tournaments. I have been involved with club volleyball for 6 years and during the last 4 years I've earned a spot on the Union Travel Team and most recently Asic team. As a freshman I received my first Varsity letter award and received the 110% award for Junior Varsity. This year I also secured a Libero spot on the varsity team as a sophomore. What sets me apart from other players is that I am continuously showing positivity and leadership to the rest of my team mates. During Club season, I played all around, but I'm a DS/Libero at heart. I am a scrappy player, quick on the court and have a pretty high vertical. I am a very coachable player, and take what my coaches teach me and try my hardest to apply it on the court. I'm currently in Beta club as an honor roll student with a 3.9 GPA, I enjoy volunteering with my family and very involved with "Clips for Kids" which is an organization that raises money for childhood cancer with donations going to our local Kosair Hospital. I intend to continue to work hard and keep up with my grades while also playing volleyball. My current aspirations for college is to play volleyball and pursue a sports medicine degree.
