Personal Highlights

I am currently a Senior at Grissom High School in Huntsville, AL where I am a Varsity player. I previously played high school ball at Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, AL. I am currently on the roster for Bama Blackhawks, coached by Chrissa Mayhall-Morton. During the spring season of 2019, l played for Randy Farnsworth and the TN Snipers. We play a variety of indoor/outdoor tournaments in Tennessee and Georgia. I have played travel ball for the last 4 years with a desire to learn and grow.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love the game! There is no better feeling than being on the dirt with your team, playing a game you love, and wanting to see all of your teammates do well. I want to experience everything that Softball has to offer and give Softball everything that I have.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a player, I have gone above and beyond what is expected of me. Staying late to work on areas that I may have let my team down, even going to practice and help with the younger girls in my organization. I was selected team leader for my previous travel team. Off the field, I go to watch my sister teams play. Set good examples for them by encouraging them and helping them to understand not just the game, but how important academics are. I make mistakes, but I own up to them and try to be a better person.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I do my best to promote a good balance between school and ball. I try to be a leader on and off the field, so that younger girls see someone that they would be able to look up to and their parents would want them to behave like. I know who I have always looked up to, and have done my best to carry myself like her.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
