Most Improved Player on Minnetonka High School Freshman Team 2015
Selected to be one of the Co-Captains of MN Select team, in her first year, by coaches for communications ability
My name is Jing McIntosh-Yee. I was born in Kunming, China and grew up Minnesota. I am currently a junior at Minnetonka High School in the International Baccalaureate diploma program and am enrolled in various honors classes. I have also been in the Chinese Immersion Program in the Minnetonka School District since the programs inception in 2007. I have a 3.761 GPA and I am interested in studying psychology and Chinese in college. I have played volleyball for 3 years competitively and I have played 4 years altogether. During the 2016-17 Volleyball Club Season I also volunteered as an assistant coach at the Minnetonka Community Club at 13's level to teach and share what I have learned so far.
I am 5’10" tall, with a reach of 89”, block of 108” and approach of 115”. I play with high energy, speed, good court awareness and competitive spirit. My goal is to play in the highest level of volleyball possible.
I am an outside hitter but also have experience playing right side, middle and being a defensive specialist. My ability to adapt has enabled me to play multiple positions and be able to help the team the best that I can.
Currently, I am playing on the Minnetonka High School Varsity Volleyball Team. I was a co-captain of my club team, Minnesota Select 16-1s during the 2017 Club Season. I was the Most Valuable Player on my 2016 JV team. I was named Most Improved Player on my 2015 high school Freshman team. Two of my biggest strengths are being able to communicate to my team on and off the court as well as being versatile which enables me help the team succeed.
