Health Careers High School - Record for Diving on 1 meter (2016) - Freshman
Abby is academically strong carrying a 4.0 in the #1 high school in San Antonio - Health Careers HS. She was recently inducted into National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, and volunteers at church on the weekends. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, watching movies, photography, gazing at the stars, traveling, and high adventure. Her recent journey led her to the Caribbean where she was certified in SCUBA. Abby is looking to pursue a career in the medical field, with a focus on patient care. After a year of rotations in the VA and University Hospital, Abby decided to focus on nursing.
I am excited to dive in college, as it allows me to continue growing in the sport that I love.
I am the team captain on my dive club team and my high school team. I often volunteer to assist during meets to direct and coach novice club divers. I'm also a diving instructor for Northside ISD teaching young divers the fundamentals of diving.
I attend all club and high school practices each week both morning and afternoon. I personally add strength training 3 days a week in a local gym. I also maintain a healthy balanced diet, watching my healthy fats, and drinking plenty of water daily. I also plan "down time" each week, that allows me to center and focus and prepare for the next challenge.
I am a member of the National Honor Society for Health Careers High School, and volunteer weekly at my family church and the VA hospital. I like being a volunteer because it allows me to serve others, and prepares me for my future in the medical field.
