I could not have scripted a better ending to my days playing high school field hockey. In my 66th and final game playing for Glenelg High School, our team captured the Maryland State 2A Championship.
In 4 years as a starter our teams went 56-10, scored 256 goals while yielding just 44.
There has been a lot of press about our finish and also recognition for our achievements. I am both blessed and humbled and I thank my coaches from high school (Nicole Trunzo) and club (Doug Hamilton) for always having a belief in my abilities and always encouraging me to be better than I was before.
I also thank my Mom & Dad. Mom for introducing me to this awesome sport and coaching me in my early days. Dad for always being on my side but telling it like it is.
Finally, I want to thank coach E.A. Jackson from Towson for seeing in me what only a few others have, until now. I can't wait to play for you and do my best to make you glad you chose me.
Happy New Year everyone! 2018 is going to be amazing!
