Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My drive to compete. Every season, every match is an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
Working to compete at a stronger level is a process that I love!!
One of my favorite club coaches spoke of my work ethic and reminded me that "hard work is it's own reward". Words I live by!!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Serving as team captain for the past two years and being a Libero both have taught me mental toughness and confidence. That confidence has provided me with the ability of supporting my team mates and to assure them all that they are capable of being great!!
Off the court, I've had success in mastering Spanish. That skill set has allowed me opportunity as a tutor in the local Boys and Girls club with the kids that haven't learned English yet.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am not me if I'm out of the gym for more than 3 days!! To maintain that, I practice good nutrition, Crossfit and weight training as parts of my routine. To summarize, I have several parts to my routine to maintain my health and conditioning. Being consistent in all parts properly, has been the challenge in that. Especially getting enough sleep!!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer or have volunteered in differing areas from tutoring in Spanish at the Boys and Girls club, serving as a Tree Steward in my home town, volunteering st Spare some for Autism and Shore Grief Center Peer Group events are examples.

While each of these service events may have been different in content and purpose, I really enjoyed the different people I got to meet, work with and work for. Participating in those exchanges and seeing that I did, or was doing something that was important to others was very rewarding. Now after the fact, there are occasions I see that those communities continue to benefit from those service efforts.
